2025 Herbal Spagyrics via Fermentation
These botanical products are crafted in the tradition of plant spagyrics as is often credited to Paracelsus (Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim) in the 1500's.
This listing is for any of the spagyrics I've produced via Fermentation in 2025. They're available in a 1oz/30ml cobalt glass bottle with a dropper lid. 50~95% ABV ethanolic extracts with the purified salts of the plant added back in.
Starting with wildcrafted plant material, the essential oil or Sulphur of the plant is extracted via steam distillation with distilled water. After that, the plant material and hydrosol are sealed up with mead yeast and a small quantity of added sugar in order to ferment and produce ethanol, which is the vehicle for the spirit or Mercury of the plant. This is then distilled to separate out the volatile from the dross, producing a liquid base. The mineral salts are then extracted from the spent plant material, purified, and returned to the tincture alongside the steam distilled oil - producing a product which contains all three parts. These parts are what the alchemists refer to as the sulphur, mercury, and salt principals. This spagyric essence is a whole plant extract, freed from superfluous parts, which captures the full spectrum of energy of the plant as it exists in nature (as well as the ethanol soluble constituents and water soluble minerals).
